The timing may be right to transfer closely held stock

When I perform business valuations, the level of the equity market is taken into consideration when I utilize income-based approaches. I believe that the stock market level compared to historical trendlines are reflective of relative risk appetite and that should impact the value of a company. Given the dramatic decline we have seen in the past few weeks, there is an opportunity for those who want to transfer shares at lower valuations to do so.
